The president, in a letter dated May 20, 2013, raised concerns that USCIS has a culture in which managers pressure their subordinates to rubber stamp applications and this problem will only be exacerbated by the bill.

Concern was raised regarding this issue. America’s voice was heavily involved in past efforts to pass immigration reform and is still now a key player in this year’s pro-immigration reform coalition.

“We need a bill that truly balances our national security with our economic security” Rep. Charles Grassley said. The House should take up their own process, develop their own product with input from their constituents, and work toward a conference on this bill.

The bill, to which lawmakers proposed some 300 amendments, is now scheduled to go to the full Senate, which has a Democratic majority. But there are furious oppositions on both sides regarding the core part of the immigration reform; in particular, provisions dealing with giving undocumented immigrants a chance to legalize their status .

Republicans have a majority and some conservatives are promising a fight against what they call amnesty. Conservatives also say the Senate bill does not do enough to ensure that the border will be secure enough to hault future flow of illegal immigration.

Thus, it is still unclear what will this Bill would bring. As an end result will it favored the undocumented immigrants? What will it do for the whole of America and its citizenry? There are many questions left unanswered.

The current situation whether the bipartisan proposal will increase the number of green cards which allow the holder to live freely in the US and be employed in circulation could be considered cloudy at best. The bill would generate an even greater backlog in the immigration system and there is no guarantee that either measure will become law.

I believe that there are undocumented individuals who are capable of helping build a brighter U.S. A procedural law should be designed to ensure a fair and consistent process. This will promote due process in every single case for the undocumented immigrants in the United States.
